Ameeri Industries was pleased to open its doors to a group of first-year nursing students from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Bahrain for an educational factory visit to Ameeri Industries (AMETECH) on December 8, 2025 (Batch 1) and December 15, 2025 (Batch 2) at BIIP, Hidd.

The visit, organized as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to enhance student learning, reinforcing the importance of early practical exposure to occupational health and safety within real-world workings of a leading industrial facility.

The students were welcomed by Ameeri Industries (AMETECH) management team, who provided a comprehensive tour of the factory, showcasing the advanced technologies and innovative engineering processes utilized in production.

The visit included interactive sessions where students engaged with engineers at AMETECH. Faculty members highlighted that such visits are essential for first-year nursing students, as they broaden their understanding of the nurse’s role in community and occupational health. Exposure to factory environments helps students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, strengthening their appreciation of how nurses contribute to health promotion and safety advocacy across diverse settings.

Ameeri Industries’ commitment to fostering a safe and supportive work environment served as a practical example of best practices in occupational health. By prioritizing staff well-being and maintaining a strong safety culture, the company demonstrated how industry and healthcare principles intersect to create healthier workplaces.

The visit concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing students to ask questions and reflect on the role of occupational health nurses in industrial settings. RCSI Bahrain expressed its appreciation to Ameeri Industries (AMETECH) for their good quality of work, neat and organized working environment, properly maintained facilities, and for prioritizing safety for all the workers. The RCSI is also grateful to Ameeri Industries for their collaboration and continued support in providing meaningful experiential learning opportunities for future healthcare professionals.
